The Problem
Hillsborough Plumbing was paying $650/month to Yelp and getting 4–6 leads a month from it — mostly price shoppers. Owner Carla Mendez wanted to own her leads rather than rent them from a marketplace. She had no website, no Google Business Profile, and ranked for nothing.
Yelp was keeping us alive but not growing us. And every lead we got, Yelp got credit for. I wanted customers to find us directly.

We dropped Yelp in month 2. I was nervous but we didn't need it anymore. Google was sending us better leads anyway.
