The Problem
Voltage Electric's bread and butter was high-ticket electrical panel upgrades ($3,500–$8,500 per job). Owner James Park had been doing 4–6 per month from referrals alone. He wanted to scale without hiring a salesperson. Google Search was the obvious channel — people searching 'panel upgrade Tampa' are buyers, not browsers.
Electrical is high-ticket. I don't need volume — I need the right 20 people a month who are actually ready to spend $5,000. Google is the only place they are.
— James Park, Owner, Voltage Electric
What We Did
Month 1 — Launch
Built a conversion-focused site: panel upgrade calculator ('Is your panel keeping up?'), permit-ready promise, financing options
Google Search Ads: 'electrical panel upgrade Tampa,' 'panel replacement cost,' '200 amp service upgrade' — surgical keyword targeting
Negative keywords aggressively maintained (excluded DIY searches, rental property searches, low-ticket queries)
Call tracking: every phone call attributed to keyword and ad
Month 2 — Optimization
Doubled budget on highest-converting keywords
Added upsell flow: whole-home inspection offer added $400 avg to job value
Permit-ready positioning reduced friction in sales conversation

Month one we did more panel upgrades than we'd done in the previous quarter combined. I had to get on a waitlist for permits.
